Tangla Town, Assam

Tangla is a small town in Udalguri district of Assam. Earlier it was in Darang district. The Tangla town is about 85 km away from Guwahati, the capital city of Assam. There are many tea gardens nearby to the town. Population of Tangla town area committee is 18228 (2001 Census). Males constitute 54% of the population, while 46% are females.
