The Combined Competitive Exam (Prelims) conducted by Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) consists of two question papers. The first question paper is General Studies. The following is the full and new General Studies syllabus for APSC Civil Service Exam (Prelims) 2013.

The Syllabus for APSC (Prelims) General Studies:

1. Indian Polity.
2. Political System in India.
3. Indian Economy.
4. Planning Process in India.
5. History of India and Assam.
6. Geography of India, Assam & World.
7. Role of Science and Technology in India.
8. Culture and Literature of Assam, India and World.
9. Indian National Movement with special reference to Assam.
10. Current events of National and International importance.
11. General Mental Ability.

  Thanks for your comment. There is no fixed pattern of distribution of marks. Please check some previous papers of APSC. You’ll get the idea. Generally you need to focus on current affairs, Indian polity and Assam related topics.
