Answer Key – APSC Prelims 2014 General Studies Paper
Find here the answer key of APSC Prelims 2014. The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducted Combined Competitive (CCE) (Preliminary) on September 28, 2014. Yesterday we examined the General Studies question paper. In our opinion it was a scoring paper. Several questions are basic General Knowledge type. Polity questions are not that tough or approachable. The reasoning questions (8 nos) are easy. As expected there are several Assam related questions. Those who didn’t studied Assam history and geography, might find them tough.
Anyway, we solved 90% of the General Studies question paper in 1 hour (that’s why called it a scoring one). Now it’s your turn to calculate or estimate your score! Following is the answer key (from Assams.info, not official) of the General Studies paper (Series A) of APSC Prelims 2014. Match the answers with yours.

You have rightly summed up d whole situation
@ritu,
u r right. apsc lacks professionalism n credibility.
2011 : high court
2013 : high court
2014 : subject code blunder (this was d perfect icing on a stale cake)
@monica
You are absolutely right. We can just wait for the results. I think apsc should understand that its a premiere organisation entrusted with huge responsibilities by the state. Its high time they arrest the indiscipline and madness with which they work. All the candidates should forward a strong worded written appeal to the chairman to publish a calendar as done by its central counterpart i.e UPSC. In a interview published a few months back the chairman asked for more financial autonomy. But the shoddy performance of apsc in recent years has projected a rather dilapidated state of affair within the organisation and all of us would unanimously agree that all of it can’t be attributed to financial dependence alone.
@ritu,
d high court affair cud b a factor. we can only wait cz d apsc is nt proactive enuff to hv a pre-planned calendar like d upsc for us to hv n idea bout d result dates.
@monica
all these confusions suggest that mains results would not b out before December. There may b a possibility that the evaluation process is still not over. I called up apsc office just before diwali and they told me to expect it late November or early December. going by their previous track record I don’t see it coming before December. r they also waiting for the impending court case in high court. any idea ?
@admin n ritu,
two weeks earlier, d apsc help-desk informed dat prelims result wud b declared within 35 days from d date of exam n d mains in d last week of nov.
in some social networking sites people r claiming dat dey called up apsc n got informed dat d mains result wud b declared either in nov last week or dec 1st week followed by d prelims.
today wen i called up d exam cell of apsc i was informed dat d prelims result wud b out by nov last week and d mains by dec last week.
just do not understand wat to expect.
Quite good……
Results of mains will most probably b declared in d last week of November or at most by 1st week of December. The reason for this delay can be attributed to elongated no of holidays dat we enjoyed this October. R u preparing for mains 2014 guys? The prelims results wud b declared just after d mains results. Good luk & god bless you all.
@admin
