Assam Secondary TET, 2012 Syllabus

The Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) examination for Secondary Education in Assam is an opportunity for eligible candidates to join as a Graduate Teacher in the state of Assam, India. The first secondary TET examination will be conducted in the month of February, 2013. For details on the eligibility criteria, you can read our previous article on Secondary TET Examination, Assam. Applications will be available from October 1, 2012 to October 10, 2012. The Secondary Education Department, Government of Assam has provided the Syllabus for Secondary TET, 2012. Part 1: General Studies and Current Affairs (100 marks)

A. GENERAL STUDIES (80 marks)

  • Unit 1: History and Culture of India with Special Emphasis on Assam History
  • Unit 2: Indian Political System and Constitution of India
  • Unit 3: General Science and Technology
  • Unit 4: Geography of India with Special emphasis on Assam
  • Unit 5: Economy of India with Special emphasis on Assam
  • Unit 6: Mental Ability and Reasoning
  • Unit 7: Environment
  • Unit 8: Secondary Education in India and Management of Schools

B. CURRENT AFFAIRS (20 Marks)
