Poachers killed another Rhino in Kaziranga

World lost another one-horned rhino. Poachers at Kaziranga National Park of Assam, India, killed a female one-horned Rhino, official sources said on Thursday. The poachers, however, failed to take away the horn of the animal. Foresters in the park have launched a massive hunt to track down the poachers

The endangered animal was killed near Sahola anti-poaching camp under Agaratoli range of the Kaziranga National Park. Indian Rhinoceros or the Great One-horned Rhinoceros is killed for it’s horn, which many believe contain healing and potency powers and therefore is used for Traditional Chinese Medicine and other Oriental medicines. Last week only, another rhino was killed inside the park.
