A. R. Rahman wins two Grammy Awards

Popular Indian music composer A.R. Rahman has bagged two Grammy Awards at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday. The double Oscar winning composer received the awards for his compositions in Slumdog Millionaire. Rahman won Grammy for best film song and best compilation sound track for a motion picture.
A R Rahman won in the best compilation soundtrack for a motion picture for his compositions in Slumdog Millionaire. His "Jai Ho" song in the film won in the best motion picture song. "Jai ho" was sung by Sukhvinder Singh, Tanvi Shah, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Vijay Prakash and Rahman himself. A R Rahman shared the Grammy award for the best motion picture song "Jai ho" with veteran lyricist Gulzar and Tanvi Shah who wrote the spanish lyrics.
