Miss America 2010 live on Saturday

The 2010 Miss America Pageant will be broadcast live on Saturday, December 30 at 8 p.m. eastern time on TLC. The 9th Miss America contest will be hosted by Mario Lopez at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Miss America 2009 winner Katie Stam of Indiana will crown the winner of Miss America 2010.

2010 Miss America Pageant Developed by the Miss America Organization, the Miss America program exists to provide personal and professional opportunities for young women and to promote their voices in culture, politics and the community. The Miss America program provides a forum for today’s young women to express their viewpoints, talents and accomplishments to audiences during the telecast and to the public-at-large during the ensuing year. Almost all Miss America contestants have either received, or are in the process of earning, college or postgraduate degrees and utilize Miss America scholarship grants to further their educations.
