Italy arrests 2 Pakistani Terrorists linked to Mumbai attacks

On Saturday Italian police arrested two Pakistani nationals in suspect of providing fund and logistical support for last years terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India that killed 166 people. The father and son duo have been identified by the police as Mohammad Yaqub Janjua, 60, and Aamer Yaqub Janjua, 31.
The two men, who ran a money transfer agency, were detained in an early morning raid in in the northern city of Brescia, Italian police said. They were allegedly involved in transferring money to finance phone communications for the 26/11 attackers. On November 25, 2008, a day before the Mumbai attacks, they transferred USD 229 to activate an Internet phone account that was used by the attackers and their accomplices.
Mohammad Yaqub Janjua and his son have been accused of aiding and abetting international terrorism as well as illegal financial activity. Two other Pakistani citizens were also arrested in the investigation and accused of other crimes. These arrests once again proves Pakistan’s direct link to lat years Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people during the three-day assault on luxury hotels, a Jewish center and other sites.
