Shuttle Launch delayed due to Problem in Hubble

A problem with one of the Hubble Space Telescope’s computers prompted NASA to delay next month’s shuttle Atlantis maintenance mission until February next year. Earlier, the Hubble maintenance mission had been targeted for takeoff on October 14.
On September 27, Hubble’s Control Unit/Science Data Formatter - Side A started to show problems in storing and sending data back to Earth. Now NASA is planning to enroute the functions of Side A to another part called Side B. The Hubble operations team has begun work on the Side B transition and believes it will be ready to reconfigure Hubble later this week.
Now, NASA’s next mission, in which space shuttle Endeavour is to deliver equipment to expand the International Space Station’s crew size from three to six, might be moved up to November 14 from November 16, said shuttle program manager John Shannon.
