Where is the solution of Illegal Bangladeshi problem?

Influx of illegal Bangladeshi is now a burning problem in Assam. Student unions in Assam are taking it very seriously and started a massive movement against the illegal migrants. Yesterday, the All Assam Students Union (AASU) called for social boycott of the illegal migrants.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, president, general secretary and advisor of AASU, appealed to the people of Assam not to employ illegal Bangladeshi migrants either for domestic purpose or commercial projects. An AASU delegation accompanied by three Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) MPs also met Union Home Minister, Shivraj Patil, over implementation of the Assam Accord. The delegation wanted the Central Government to initiate measure to detect and deport illegal migrants who entered the State after March 25, 1971.

Assam government is also not behind. Last week, Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi also made the same plea before Shivraj Patil. But it seems like the Government of India is not taking the problem seriously. Why? Because it is Assam, an eastern state of India, which is meant only for exploitation of it’s natural wealth like tea and petroleum.

On the other hand, Assam The Tarun Gogoi government is preparing the first “white paper” on the illegal Bangladeshi issue, in an attempt to bring the real story of influx to the people of Assam. The chief minister said that the white paper would prove that the performance of Congress government in detecting and deporting foreigners is much better than that of AGP.

But, the question is how this burning problem will be solved? Still illegal Bangladeshis are grazing openly in Assam, like cattles graze in open field! Who will deport these Bangladeshis? The situation in Assam is so worse that is situation remains same, soon a Bangladeshi will become CM of Assam! So, Assamese people must act together to get rid of this problem as soon as possible. Otherwise, Assam needs a Hitler to ……
