Chef apologises for Toxic recipe

Anthony Worrall Thompson, a celebrity British chef has mistakenly added Henbane, a toxic plant, in the list of ingredients for a new salad that was published in the July edition of the Healthy and Organic Living magazine. Henbane is a toxic plant and it can cause hallucinations, restlessness, hypertension and flushed skin. If taken in heavy dose, it can kill a person.

In all kinds of job, chances of mistakes are there. But, what about this mistake? Is it a simple mistake? We don’t think so. As he is a popular chef and lots of people follows his directions, there was higher chances of deadly consequences. Luckily, no one has been reported to be harmed by the deadly salad.
Now, Thompson has apologized for the deadly mistake and said that he meant to recommend fat hen, an wild weed. On Monday, the Healthy and Organic Living magazine issued a correction on their website. The correction note said:
In H&OL7 p60 Antony Worral Thompson recommends using henbane in salads. In fact henbane is a very toxic plant and should never been eaten. As always, check with an expert when foraging or collecting wild plants.
