Britney Spears will appear in MTV awards?

After the disastrous performance at last year’s MTV Video Music Awards, Britney Spears is back again! Spears is now in negotiations with MTV to make an appearance at the September 7 ceremony to be held in Los Angeles. It was disclosed by a spokesperson for MTV on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old pop star was widely criticized for her performance of ‘Gimme More’ at last year’s awards show. Now hopes are there for a comeback, as Britney is already appearing in promotional ads for the telecast. The special promo advert for the MTV VMAs also features Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Russell Brand. If Britney perform in this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, it will surely be a ratings bonanza for her upcoming album.
