Death of Assamese Actress Nilakshi Sharma

Assamese Actress Nilakshi Sharma

This is Nilakshi Sharma, an young Assamese actress, who died under mysterious circumstances on July 17. But, how this 25-year-old actress died? Nobody have the answer to this question. She suddenly becomes ill during shooting at Namrup and died at the Assam Medical College Hospital (AMCH) in Dibrugarh. This is the story that people around her during the shooting is telling.

But the real story may be somewhat different. At the time of her death, Nilakshi was shooting a song sequence of singer Krishnamoni Chutia’s album, Chal Gori part-II, at Namrup in Dibrugarh district of Assam. The actress’s family accused that the singer and his team neglected in taking Nilakshi to the hospital and the negligency and delay led to her death. Even the medical prescriptions that shows that the actress was ill since July 15, appear to be forged as her sister talked to her over the phone on July 17 morning and she sounded perfectly fit and fine. Who is playing the foul play?

Some people are pointing towards Krishnamoni Chutia. Why? Krishnamoni tried to stay away from the case and never bothered to contact the family of Nilakshi, about her death. Why he is avoiding the issue? Is he involved in the case? Many questions like this arises in the minds of Nilakshi’s family, friends and fans.

So, what Krishnamoni says about the death? He said that he is not involved in the case and there was no neglect in providing medical attention to the actress and everything which was possible was done by him.

The family members of actress Nilakshi Sharma believes that a lobby tried to hush up the case. The actress’s sister Sangeeta alleged in a press conference that when she went to the AMCH on July 18, a section of the police and the hospital officials refused to conduct a post-mortem, saying that it was not a medico-legal case. How police confirmed that it was not a medico-legal case? Because someone was trying to cover the case. Who was that person?

It was only after the family contacted the Dibrugarh deputy commissioner Ashutosh Agnihotri and superintendent of police Anurag Agarwal, that the police agreed to conduct a post-mortem. As per news reports, the post mortem report said had Nilakshi was six weeks pregnant. There arises another question. Who was the father of the six week old foetus? The Dibrugarh police have registered a case of unnatural death at Namrup police station and will conduct DNA tests to ascertain whether the actress was in a relationship.

In our view, this case must be solved as soon as possible. Because, people of Assam wants to know the fact. And it is also important to find the truth, in order to save innocent people from false allegations. We hope that Assam police will give their best to find out the truth.

I was shocked at the death of Nilakshi. It is definitely not a natural death. She was a very talented actress and we had many expectations from her. May her soul rest in peace and may the killers face very pathetic death. This is my prayer to God.

What the hell is going on with the law and order of Assam? Innocent people dies in the hands of freaks and police never takes action. I am sure that police will never try to find out and punish the guilty in this case.

Definitely, it is a tragic incident. But is it appropriate to point out fingers on a single individual. i don’t think that Krishnomoni Chutia has anything to do with the unnatural death of Nilakshi Sharma. Until and unless, the law does not indict any person ,no one in particular can be pinpointed as acussed.

Everyone who has followed the rise of Krishnomoni knows and understands and considers him to be a man with golden heart. It is just that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Further, give the man a chance to speak and clarify his stand.Besides, it has not yet been proved that she was murdered or pointed, as postmortem report is yet to be made public.

Till then, give the man a chance who gave us smash hits like “Chal Gori” a chance..

Thanx admin…it was great to learn that you are going to edit the page. I had gone through the comments and it was preety depressing enough. How can you take the name of a person using some of the worst language, not accepted anywhere. Democracy has given us the rights to express our views, but we should use it appropriately.Condemning a person with the f word is really disgusting. We should be more tolerant when we are saying on a larger basis.

Legal action should be taken as early as possible. Delay of it will let the prisoner the chance to escape.
Definitely, more than one persons are involved.
    They must be punished.
