Record Power Generation in Assam

The ASEB, which meets the State’s requirement of power of 750 MW from various sources, including the DFL and the Central pool, would now have to borrow less amount of power from the other sources, which will add teeth to the State’s economy.
According to a senior official of the board, the steep rise in the power generation can be attributed to the Karbi Langpi project, which produces more than 100 MW of power for the State. If power generation continues at this pace, there should not be any load-shedding in Assam, during the current year.

India-Pakistan exchanges lists of Nuclear installations

India and Pakistan today, exchanged lists of their nuclear installations and facilities covered under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between both the countries. Air New Zealand conducts first biofuel test flight

On Tuedsay, Air New Zealand created a new aviation history by successfully conducting the world’s first ever commercial aviation test flight powered by fuel from the seeds of the African jatropha plant.
