Assam increased retirement age to 60 years

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi agreed to raise the retirement age following a meeting with the representatives of Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad (SAKP), the association of state government employees, official sources said.
A Cabinet sub-committee constituted by the Congress government to look into the various demands of the employees had recommended the raising of the retirement age.
The Chief Minister also assured that the government would soon constitute a pay commission to look into the demands of the employees’ organisation for a pay package at par with the central government employees, sources added.

India-Pakistan exchanges lists of Nuclear installations

India and Pakistan today, exchanged lists of their nuclear installations and facilities covered under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between both the countries.
